Zija Summit 2017 Fitness Classes

 

Align your mind, body, and spirit at Zija Summit 2017! We’re offering a free yoga and dance class to all Summit attendees so that you can grow mentally and physically while you’re here.

 

Glow Yoga — Friday October 27th from 7:00 AM-8:00 AM: Strike those yoga poses under black lights in our glow yoga class, an immersive yoga experience composed of standing poses, balancing series, occasional inversions, and seated and supine postures. This class is beginner friendly, but will challenge your muscles and increase your range of motion and flexibility.

 

This class will be taught taught by Nic Pacaro, a former competitive athlete who has been practicing yoga for 15+ years. In 2013 he was involved in a severe car accident that left him with spinal cord damage. Through his recovery, Nic became more adamant with his yoga, now practicing almost 4-6 times per week.

 

He received and completed his 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certificate in Vinyasa Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage in Costa Rica in 2015. He brings personal experience into his classes by offering layers and modifications for varying fitness levels and bringing a strong focus of safety and anatomical alignments.

 

Hip-Hop Fit by Mike Peele — Friday October 27th from 5:45 PM-7:00 PM: Get up and moving with this dance class meant to push your mind and body to the next level, all in one class. Don’t worry if you don’t consider yourself a dancer—you will become a dancing machine while never feeling like you're getting left behind.

 

This class will be taught by Mike Peele, an award-winning choreographer, dancer, actor, and fitness champion. He is the creator and visionary behind ‘Hip-Hop Fit’ and is helping people everywhere lose weight, build self-esteem, and have fun with exercise.
